External Communications
I have experience in both B2C and B2B organizations. I worked on content creation for blogs and news centers, and developed relationships with journalists and social media influencers. Cross-team collaboration has been critical to the success of events. Here are some highlights across companies/industries from my career.

Element 79
Element 79 Partners was a new agency within Omnicom. We were establishing the name while promoting the work we created for well-established clients. We were covered in the trades regularly.
Earlier in my career, I also pitched automotive, financial services, gaming, lifestyle and technology stories.

Element 79
I have successfully worked with reporters at national and local market newspapers.

Weber Grill Restaurant
Support for the privately-owned restaurant company included creating collateral for events and holidays, updating the website, and promoting the four locations.

Weber Grill Restaurant
We held monthly cooking classes and produced an annual BBQ Block Party involving local firefighters who competed on the grill. Media personalities were recruited to be judges.

Verizon
The opening of the Destination Store on Michigan Avenue was the largest retail location in the U.S. Coordinating a media tour the day prior, then appearances by Jennifer Hudson and executives at the event, involved staff and agencies executing a play book.

Verizon
Smaller media events took place in cities across the region. Announcements ranged from network expansions to leveraging marketing partnerships and government affairs. We identified non-profit organizations to support in the communities where we lived and worked.
